Have you ever recall those scary school days with heavy bags and a thought of getting scolded for not doing the home work? Of course yes. The memory still frightens us but at the same instant we have an inner satisfaction of having what we always wanted to achieve in life. When a small child leaves his parent and go to school for the fist time, lot of things comes in mind and heart. Like why I am going to school? I wanted to stay with my parents as they care for me, Is anyone there who will take the same care? Every child has a memory of his mentor, some have bitter while some having pleasant. Faculty/teacher/ mentor, plays a very important role in our life. Alongside parents it’s our dean, our teacher, our mentor who makes us growing in every phase of life.

Mentoring- not just teaching

Talking about mentor- mentoring is not just teaching, it’s bringing the best out of a human being-specifically a child. Mentor is one who participates in your growth, as a companion, a guide, a person who knows your self next you and your parent. We learn from our mentor and our mentor learns from his experience analyzing us. Learning is somehow easy but mentoring is tough and tedious.

A tough job- mentoring

Knowing an individual is good but making an individual raise in multiple sequences of life is really admirable. Mentor does countless effort in collecting the cream out of us. He put his best foot forward to make us learn, to make us develop, to make us stand up if we fall. He knows our strengths/weaknesses and the maneuver to improve them every now and then. He’s the one who never regret of lacking our affection towards him due to his meticulous behavior. Rather he understood well that we are kids and in our learning phase which reveals his maturity. His every endeavor work towards our success. Not every time described by words, his appreciation is always with us if we seek success-even a small one.

So next time when you go to your institution with a heavy heart and a shivery thought of a healthy build/oiled hair/middle age person wearing thick spectacle-don’t be scared its you’re mentor, your guide, your way seeker, your path finder. Move on and give a warm great saying hello sir…how are you? Whether said or not, for sure you must have a blessing from him.
